2024 Highlights From Our New Forest Hotel
As we reflect on another incredible year at our New Forest hotel Careys Manor & SenSpa, we're excited to share some of the unforgettable moments from 2024. From new experiences and exciting collaborations to delicious culinary events and thoughtful wellness offerings, it's been a year to remember!
Sen Sound Sessions
Our Sen Sound Sessions have become a true highlight this year, providing an immersive experience to rejuvenate both body and mind. Launching in February, these sessions, inspired by ancient sound healing practices, offer guests a unique way to relax and recharge. Perfect for anyone looking for a deeply restorative experience, these sessions have garnered rave reviews, and we can’t wait to welcome more guests to experience the healing power of sound in 2025.
Sunday Lunches at Cambium
February was a busy month for new experiences at Careys Manor & SenSpa! Along with Sen Sound sessions we also launched Sunday lunches at Cambium. Whether you’re gathering with family or friends, our Sunday lunches provide the perfect setting to enjoy great food and company in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes dishes such as ham hock and apricot terrine, roast sirloin of beef and sticky toffee pudding. Delicious!
Set Lunch Menu at Le Blaireau
Le Blaireau has long been celebrated for its charming atmosphere, and this year, our new set lunch menu has truly become a highlight. Featuring a selection of freshly prepared dishes that showcase the flavours of classic French cooking, it’s a must-visit for those seeking delicious French-inspired cuisine.
Unplugged: Digital Detox Break
Launched in late summer, our Unplugged: Digital Detox Break has become one of our most popular New Forest spa breaks. Designed to give our guests the opportunity to disconnect, unwind, and restore balance, this break allows you to embrace a slower, more mindful pace. With the pressures of modern life in mind, the package focuses on your overall wellness with inclusions such as a four-hour session in the hydrotherapy suite, a 30-minute spa treatment, choice of one of our three restaurants for dinner each evening and your choice of room for your overnight stay. The break also includes a thoughtfully curated ‘Ultimate Digital Detox Gift Box‘ filled with a Positive Planner self-care journal, Dirtea functional mushroom powder, Pure Earth Kombucha, a Forest Therapy Guide, SenSpa Reviving Body Wash and Body Soak, and a Scentered Therapy Balm, all carefully chosen to enhance relaxation and wellbeing. We’ve been thrilled to see how many people have embraced this chance to take a break from their tech and leave their phone behind in the amnesty box in their room.

We’ve loved connecting with our wonderful community on social media, and 2024 saw some incredible giveaways! Thanks to our partnerships with British Blankets and Birchalls Tea, we were able to treat our followers to some fantastic prizes. Welcoming Yasmin and Her Family

In August we were delighted to welcome Yasmin and her family who stayed with us as a thank you from Room for Reward. Yasmin volunteers for the Mother and baby section of Hounslow Asian and African Youth Association where she helps to identify places for the group to visit and organises the considerable amount of admin needed prior to the visit taking place.
Culinary Moments at Lymington Sea Food Festival and New Forest Show
Another highlight of 2024 was Head Chef Dylan James and his Sous Chef Louis Haynes taking to the stage at the Lymington Sea Food Festival and at the New Forest Show. Their live cooking demonstrations were a huge hit, with plenty of delicious seafood and local produce showcased. It was a fantastic way to connect with the local community and share our love for New Forest and local ingredients.
