Real Weddings – Olivia & Oliver
On the wedding blog today we catch up with Olivia and Oliver after they celebrated their rustic spring wedding here at Hampshire wedding venue, Careys Manor.
How did you meet?
Oli and I met at the Isle of Wight Festival in June 2022, we got pregnant shortly after that and welcomed our beautiful son in May 2023.
The proposal
Oli proposed to me on Christmas Day in 2023 at our family home, which we share with our son Beau. It was very intimate and lovely.
Finding Hampshire wedding venue Careys Manor Hotel
We have always loved the New Forest; we love being outdoors and Oli has always loved the woods. As soon as we visited Careys Manor, we knew we wanted to get married there. The grounds are beautiful and we loved the woodland feel, plus the opportunity to get married outside was perfect!
The wedding theme
For our wedding we wanted a rustic theme, which fit Careys Manor perfectly.
The flowers
We chose recommended florist, Owen from Little Lilies, who helped us create our rustic theme with cream and green florals.
The photographer
I found our photographer, Photos by Georgina, online. She was personable and lovely, but most importantly, she was affordable! She was patient with us, considering we had our baby boy at our wedding, and of course he comes first.
The dress
My dress was from Ava Louise Bridal Wear and I knew I wanted my wedding dress to be floral. As soon as I put the dress on I knew that I wanted to get married in that dress! I also wore flower earrings and flower shoes – I LOVE flowers!
The entertainment
We had the DJ in the evening that was included within our wedding package; Toby from Your DJ. Everyone was dancing in the evening, it was lovely and fun.
What was your favourite moment of the day?
Our favourite moment of the day was when we first saw each other during the ceremony – it was perfect and the sun was shining.
Future advice for wedding planning at Careys Manor
Françoise was a really good wedding planner. I recommend Careys Manor to anyone getting married, and I highly recommend getting married outside! We decorated with flowers and it was beautiful.
